I was surprised and delighted to receive these gorgeous roses for my birthday/mother's day (same day) from someone who has never sent me flowers before! My wonderful sister Lisa sent me a bunch of white, yellow, and pink roses, and an ant. I felt so special.
It's a little disappointing to have two of your special days smooshed together, and on a Sunday which includes running after primary children who like to run. But my sweet hubby did his best to make it special. He made me breakfast in bed, scones and omelets and water, which I spilled all over my bed--time to get up! Then Joann blurted out "Baking quick breads!!" We said, "Where did you get that?" "From Daddy's cookbook." Devin swore he hadn't read her the cookbook. So what are we to conclude other than she read, really read it?? If she can read, she is the biggest faker! She always pretends not to know the names and sounds of letters. Seriously, I don't know what to think of it. But it was a super mother's day present, anyway. Devin also allowed me a nap and made a yummy dinner that included puff pastry, goat cheese, and bacon. And dessert that included cream and strawberries and pie crust. Yum!

you are specially spoiled:) Lucky you!Happy late birthday!
That's awesome! Yay for being so spoiled on a day with two reasons to celebrate!!
I know what you mean about sharing your birthday with another celebration... as kid my birthday always fell on spring break, which you'd think would be fantastic, except that it meant that everyone else in the family would end up getting presents too because it was the beginning of spring and camping and everyone needed new this or that... my parents tried to seperate the two, but it was hard as a kid. :o) Love you and happy belated birthday!
Yay the roses are gorgeous, I'm so glad you felt the way I had hoped; that you are loved and admired for both your roles as Lindsay the Mom and Lindsay the beautiful, talented and uplifting sister. Can't wait to pick your brain this summer! And for Leah to pick Joann's!
