Like Our Hats?

Amber, Mom (Grandma Gaga to Joann), Joann, and I met some very friendly lorikeets at the zoo.

We Miss Eden!

It's just not the same without her high little voice and love of all things girly. I love this picture at the goodbye open house, wearing her ladybug boots and a tutu, getting her moves on. The other day I said, "Joann, guess who's coming to visit us?" She said,
"Eden?"
"No."
"Melissa?"
"No."
"Ruthy?"
"No."
At this point I felt bad for teasing her emotions by making her guess.

Strawberries Season in my Backyard

We have so many strawberries! I planted them most inconveniently for harvesting--it's a good thing my back is young. They've required picking daily, and the bird-battle is ongoing, but we're really enjoying them. Yum!
