Can You Believe This?

Yes, she's actually using it. It's been 3 weeks now, and accidents are rare, even on outings.
Joann rejoices in the independence using the toilet gives her. I love the urgent tone in her voice when she really has to go--"I need to go potty!!"--so fast that only her parents understand her. And then the huge smile and sing-song voice, "I'm going potty!" Whenever I try to "force" her to go (silly me--as if I had that control), the struggles begin. So I just remind her by saying, "Joann, where is the potty?" She probably thinks I keep forgetting and she's reminding me.

After my very proud post, Joann had a horrible accident in Barnes and Noble on the carpet while playing with the train set this morning. I made her tell the sales lady herself, but Joann just stared at her, even though we had rehearsed.

Congrats Joann and way to go!! No worries, accidents happen, it's all about how the parents deal with them that makes or break the potty training. Good luck. Tate sat on the potty for the first time today and got super excited. I'm hoping this is the beginning of some easy potty training (wishful thinking, i know) :o)

Oh wow I'm amazed she is even interested and yes accidents are part of it but we live and learn to bring back up. I think potty training is one of the hardest thing for a parent to endure! Good job Linds and just remember that frustrations are then name of the game.
